The Hot Wheels Classics series were always a favourite of mine to collect. Here's a 1965 Ford Mustang in spectraflame purple. Check out the lettering on tires! Solid metal base and body, they don't build them like they used to.

Glittery Gold 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo!

There's absolutely nothing wrong about this gold 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo. Loving the contrast of the black rims and dark tinted glass! This beauty came out in 2021.

Models from the 70s: Here's the 71 Ford Maverick Grabber

Oooh, I really like this 71 Maverick Grabber in metallic purple! And I have a weakness for these Retro Slot Wheels. No crazy tampos, just a clean and simple model. Too bad the headlights aren't detailed though. I think I might have a few more colour variations of this Ford. If I find them, I'll post some pics.

This particular model is from 2021 from a ten pack I think.

Latest Hot Wheels Haul from Walmart - July 2019

Hey guys! It's been awhile since I found any new Hot Wheels, especially from a sealed box, so here's my haul from Walmart today. I picked up a total of 17 new cars from what the latest M case, a lot of of them are exotics.

Let's look at the the first four Europeans:
1. The new 2019 casting of the 84 Audi Sport Quattro (dark green version)
2. The 2016 BMW M2.
3. The new 2019 casting of the 96 Porsche Carrera (blue version).
4. The Lamborghini Countach Police car (blue version).

New 2019 Hot Wheels Basics to look for - March 2019

I've already found quite a few 2019 Hot Wheels JDM cars, but there's 5 new ones that are still eluding me. Three are Nissans, and two are Mazdas. Also looking for a VW wagon and a police Lamborghini.

Trying to Catch Up on the 2018 Hot Wheels - January 2019

Now that 2019 is upon us, I realize I still have some holes to fill in my Hot Wheels 2018 mainline collection. Need a couple of Porsches, an Audi, a Batmobile, a Barbie Vette, and 2 JDM vehicles - a Mazda pickup and a Honda Civic. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Japan Historics 2 - Finally

To be honest, I didn't think I'd ever have any Japan Historics models in my Hot Wheels collection. I've never seen them on the pegs in the stores around where I live in Canada for as long as they've been out for. I think it's been over a year now since the issue of JH2.

So I was pleasantly surprised to find some hanging on the pegs at the ToysRUs store in the Festival Walk mall which is located in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. I went there to check on their Tomica offerings but ended up checking the Hot Wheels aisle.

The JH2 cards were really bent at the corners and creased. The only car missing from the series was the silver Datsun Bluebird. As part of the TRU promotion, if you purchased 3 Hot Wheels cars, you got the 4th one free. That ended up working out for me. I'll eventually get rid of the packaging anyways.

So each car cost me $59 HKD or approximately $7.54 USD each. Out of the 4 cars, one was free so the total cost was about $180 HKD or about $23 USD / $30 CDN. In Canadian dollars, each car is about $10 CDN, before the discount and $7.50 CDN after discount.

I also visited the ToysRUs store in Tsim Sha Tsui a few weeks ago, but didn't find any Japan Historics 2 there. So far most of my diecast acquisitions have been Tomicas. To see the latest updates, feel free to check out http://mytomica.blogspot.com.

This 69 Mustang Boss 302 rocks. It's from the Hot Wheels 2012 Racing Series. There was also a Javelin from this set which I would love to find. Do you collect the Hot Wheels Racing series?
