In 2014, Hot Wheels, produced a series called Cool Classics. One of my favourite castings from that series is the 1984 Ford Mustang SVO (Special Vehicle Operations). In 1984, this Mustang was the fastest and most expensive available.
I thought there were more versions of this model but it turns out this one was only the third time it had been used. The casting debuted in 2012 and has not been used since this featured model. As a premium model it has the metal base. The colour is called spectrafrost dark purple but it's almost more like a charcoal gray.
I like the beefiness of the casting but don't think the rear light bezels are accurate. I like the casting details like the biplane spoiler, gas cap and well defined door and trunk lines but wish they had painted the headlights and taillights. Other than that, this Mustang displays really well.
